I seem to be on a kick for revisiting artists that I have previously featured.
I have really enjoyed looking back through old posts and finding how each artists work has evolved. I featured a piece, Growth I, by Katherine Mann in 2008, and I was thrilled to find new work from her in my inbox.

Baby, It's Over - mixed media
If this work looks familiar, it might be because Gary Taxali’s illustrations have appeared in many magazines as well as Amiee Mann’s album art. Taxali’s illustrations have a rich inviting quality about them that draw me in to tell me their story.

With the year drawing to a close we naturally reflect on the past year. 2009 has been kind to this little blog and I look forward to what 2010 may bring. I aggregated a list of the 20 most visited posts from 2009 from the stats and this is what I found. Oddly enough, some were pretty recent, and some were from last year. I was so happy to see Amanda’s work in my inbox earlier this week. Her unique assembled sculptures suspend found objects still visible from the exterior. Her portfolio displays many unique works and is certainly worth checking out.
